The core challenge was implementing parallax scrolling effects to create an immersive, dynamic browsing experience that mimicked the allure of handling vintage guitars, while ensuring flawless performance and smoothness across all devices—from high-end desktops to budget mobiles—without glitches, lag, or layout breaks.
The Solution
I used CSS transforms and JavaScript libraries for layered parallax animations, optimising with requestAnimationFrame for 60fps fluidity and media queries for device-specific adjustments. The site was developed mobile-first, with fallback behaviours for older browsers, ensuring the scrolling enhanced rather than hindered usability, while integrating e-commerce elements like secure inventory views and contact forms seamlessly.

The primary challenge was animating the swinging character on the rope to move in a realistic, fluid way, simulating a window cleaner in action. Additional hurdles included ensuring the animation performed smoothly across devices without impacting load times, while integrating it seamlessly into the homepage layout alongside text-heavy service descriptions.

I implemented the swinging animation using keyframe animations in CSS, combined with JavaScript for timing and responsiveness, creating a natural pendulum motion that adapts to different screen sizes.
